Elsa Kit Kincaid is a cinematographer, editor, and sometimes director, currently based in New Orleans, but often goes wherever the wind takes her. Originally from Rhode Island, she grew up on the water, filming everything and anything regarding the beauty of the ocean and the different activities it supports. Elsa loves all things camera, whether that be working as an operator, AC, or simply babysitting the rig. After completing her B.A. in Film Production from the University of Rhode Island, she then went on to attend FAMU International in Prague. Here she took part in a year-long intensive program in cinematography, getting the opportunity to work alongside wonderful people from across the world. At the conclusion of the year, she had collaborated on twelve analog films, fulfilling many roles, including that of 1st AC, gaffer, grip, DoP, and director.
In addition to narrative and set-based work, Elsa also has experience working with clients through her media production company. Having grown up sailing and skiing, she is drawn to stories and content produced around extreme sports. Alongside her trusty drone (Magnus Jr), she filmed and produced content for the Newport to Bermuda race, and NAASA F18 class, among other variations of water and wind sports. Some of her other forms of work include pictures and videos for private events, weddings, universities, and small businesses. Elsa looks forward to continuing to learn from her experiences and peers as she navigates her journey filmmaking.
